Based on the fact that many new enquiries follow recommendations from many of Richard’s previous/existing clients, the designer offers an initial consultation to determine the parameters of what the client hopes to achieve and what he feels is required to meet these expectations.

Once a working brief has been established, a Design Proposal is prepared which clearly outlines the extent of projected work, the stages involved, responsibility for each stage and the fees/costs associated with Richard’s involvement.

Some projects dictate a consultancy-only fee for submission of plans, drawings and planting specification; however the scale of most of Richard’s commissions dictate that he takes overall control of the gardening project, commissioning contractors and suppliers on the client’s behalf.
